Bernhardt Laboratories, a Sonic Healthcare anatomic pathology practice is privileged to include Dinesh Pradhan, M.D. on our team. A prolific academic, award-winning scholar and researcher, Dr. Pradhan brings extensive knowledge, a wide range of experience and a keen expertise to his work.

Dr. Pradhan earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital in Guwahati, India. Subsequently, he received his medical degree from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, India.

Dr. Pradhan’s research and clinical experience include: a clinical fellowship/ senior residency in hematopathology, surgical pathology, and cytopathology, each from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research. As a resident, he taught junior residents, fellows and clinicians while also presenting at clinico-pathologic conferences and a wide-range of other events and organizations. He also served as “Chief Secretary of the Resident Doctors Association”at PGIMER. He completed postdoctoral research on Electron Spin Resonance Spectroscopy from Medinnovation Gmbh, Berlin, Germany and Medical Innovation India. He served as surgical and cytopathologist at PathCorp Diagnostics & Pushpanjali Crosslay Hospital in Delhi, India.

Once in the United States, he completed a clinical residency in Anatomic and Clinical pathology from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA; and a clinical fellowship in Dermatopathology from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.

Dr. Pradhan has received numerous awards and honors such as the MDACC Department Fund for Fellows Research Grant Award and the 2018 Association for Pathology Informatics Travel Award. He is a member of seven professional societies, including the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the American Society of Dermatology, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. His research efforts have been published in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Pradham has full medical licensure in the State of Texas and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
